Profile

Dr. Biplab Majaw serves as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) at Mawlai’s School of Technology (MST), Shillong. With over 18 years of experience in higher education administration and compliance monitoring, he oversees institutional vigilance activities, preventive measures, and ethical frameworks under the Central University Act, 2009.

Dr. Majaw holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration and an M.A. in Political Science. His areas of expertise include governance systems, administrative ethics, and institutional audit compliance. Before joining MST, he served in several government-aided academic institutions in the Northeast.

His office ensures that MST upholds the highest standards of accountability and transparency across academic, financial, and administrative functions.


Functions of the Vigilance Office

  • Monitoring and prevention of administrative irregularities and misconduct.
  • Ensuring adherence to ethical and procedural standards in all operations.
  • Conducting internal vigilance audits and awareness programs.
  • Receiving and processing complaints under the vigilance framework.
  • Advising the University authorities on transparency and anti-corruption measures.
